![]() ![]() This includes what chargers offer which kinds of ports, and how many, so you can even charge multiple devices at once. So, if you're always trying to keep your phone at 100%, or worry about running empty in the wild, we've got the details you need. We tested each charger in four different ways: how much of a charge it added in 15 minutes, how much it added in an hour, the time it took to refuel an iPhone from dead to 100% and how many times it could refill the same iPhone 12 from dead. To be more specific, our testing was performed on the same iPhone 12, with its brightness set at 100%. While these specific portable chargers regularly appear on bestseller lists, they're all different in a number of important ways. Our testing involves seeing how fast devices charge and how many full phone chargers each power bank stores. To that end, we've pulled from both big brands and popular competitors. ![]() Unfortunately, neither Aukey or any other power bank I have reviewed come with a 2.1A adapter – so charging this through most conventional USB ports means it may take beyond twelve hours to charge the power bank to 100%.We've done a battery (pun intended) of tests on some of the best and most highly rated portable chargers on the market. My only snag with the Aukey Amzdeal Portable power bank is the same with almost any other power bank I have reviewed: It is charged via USB and unless you have a 2.1A mains-to-USB adapter this process is painfully slow. I am a fan of the green packaging which shows that Aukey is promoting sustainable packaging which in itself is a good enough reason to purchase this particular power bank over the countless others in the same price bracket. It feels very solid to hold – and in my week long testing of the power bank I found no immediate issues. Aukey claim you can decorate the white canvas of the power bank to your liking – but since I am not very artistic, I will leave it bare. I am a huge fan of minimalism, and my review copy of the white portable charger is beautiful to look at. The thing I like best about the Aukey Amzdeal is it’s simplicity. ![]() My iPad 3 battery has a capacity of just over 11,000mAh and so this portable bank did a good job of re-juicing my tablet from zero to eighty percent in around five hours. I am more than happy with four recharges, as this easily covers a long-weekend travel or holiday – however the advertised 8,000mAh capacity should manage five full recharges with some room to spare. I found that it successfully charged my iPhone 4S from dead to 100% about four times before the power bank needed recharging. The Aukey Amzdeal does exactly as it is supposed to – it works. Though it has been built for smartphones and tablets, it is compatible with other USB-powered devices, digital cameras, camcorders and more! The Aukey Amzdeal 8000mAh portable power bank is an external battery pack charger which will allow you to change a selection of devices via a USB cable. Whilst manufacturers aim at making their power banks smaller, high capacity, more stylish, more durable and cheaper – the consumer (us) want all of the afore mentioned as well as an affordable price tag. In a market which is now becoming saturated by portable power banks there is very little to differentiate between which portable power bank you should buy.
